This privacy policy explains how Amita Wellness Hub (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit this website, contact us, join a programme or use our coaching services. We are committed to handling your information fairly, lawfully and transparently, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Amita Wellness Hub is run by Amita Kaushik and provides online women’s wellness programmes — weight loss, healthy weight gain, hormone balance support, maintenance and reset plans — which may include nutrition guidance, fitness and yoga sessions. For the purposes of data protection law, Amita Wellness Hub is the “controller” of your personal information.

You can contact us about anything in this policy by WhatsApp at +44 7471 709935 or through our contact form.

2. The information we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiries and contact forms — your name, email address, phone number and your message.
  • Newsletter sign-up — your email address.
  • Programmes and coaching — your goals, lifestyle, food preferences, activity levels, progress notes and anything else you choose to share with us so we can personalise your plan.
  • Health information — for example medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy, medication or dietary requirements. This is “special category” data and we only collect it with your explicit consent, so we can keep your programme safe and suitable for you.
  • Messages — conversations with us by WhatsApp, Instagram, email or phone.
  • Payment details — if you buy a paid service, payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We only share it with trusted providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

  • website hosting and email providers;
  • communication tools such as WhatsApp and Instagram (Meta), when you contact us there;
  • payment providers, when you buy a paid service;
  • analytics and advertising tools (Google and Meta) — only if you accept cookies;
  • professional advisers such as our accountant, or authorities where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers (for example Google and Meta) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the protections required by UK law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to working together: up to 12 months.
  • Client records, including health information: for the length of your programme and up to 3 years afterwards, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Financial records: 6 years, as required by HMRC.
  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

7. Keeping your information secure

We use secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS), password-protected systems with restricted access, and reputable providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you and the Information Commissioner’s Office if a serious breach occurs.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it).

To use any of these rights, message us and we will respond within one month. It’s free of charge.

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
